Choose a Domina

Every MISTRIX account, free or paid, can session with the five free preset Dominas. During onboarding you pick one as your starting Domina. You can browse and switch any time afterwards.

The Dominas screen lists ten more presets under Specialists. Each one is built around one narrow interest. On Free they show as locked cards and tapping one opens an upgrade prompt; on Premium and Premium Plus you can open any of them. See Preset vs Personal Dominas.

What to look at when picking

On the Choose your Domina screen each card shows:

  • Name and portrait - her visual identity.
  • A one-line specialty - what she is built around.
  • Her story - it opens under the card when you tap her.

On the Dominas screen the info button next to a preset opens a fuller sheet: her style, an intensity row from 1 to 5, her trait words, and the same story.

There is no "right" pick. The fastest way to find a Domina you like is to start with one whose specialty overlaps your interests, then session once. After one session you will know if you want to swap.

What you cannot change on a preset

  • Her name, look, tone, speech style, intensity, and specialties are fixed. They are part of who she is.
  • What she remembers and how she feels about you are not fixed. Every preset keeps her own mood with you. It moves on her verdict at the end of a session, shifts a little with the tone of ordinary chat, drifts back toward neutral over time, and resets the moment you use the safe word. You can see it under her name on the dashboard and in the chat header.

Switching presets later

Open the Dominas screen. It is the Dominas tile on the dashboard, or You > My Domina > Select domina.

  • On Free, tap the preset you want. A Switch to confirmation appears and spells out what you lose. Confirm, and her chat opens.
  • On Premium and Premium Plus, tapping a preset just opens her chat. There is nothing to activate.

What happens to your data with the old Domina depends on your tier:

  • Premium and Premium Plus: nothing is lost. Past sessions stay in your history, her chat thread is preserved, and her memory continuity carries forward if you switch back later.
  • Free: switching the active Domina is destructive. The previous Domina's chat thread is cleared, her past sessions drop from your history, and there is no memory continuity to return to. Free keeps one Domina's data at a time. If you want to move between Dominas without losing anything, that is a Premium feature.

Personal Dominas (paid tiers)

If you have Premium or Premium Plus, the Dominas screen opens with Your Dominas, your own builds, above the preset groups. Each one has a Configure and a Delete button, and the active one is marked. Under it sits Craft your own Domina, then Presets, then Specialists.

A note on switching often

On Premium and Premium Plus there is no penalty for switching. Some users keep one Domina for ritual sessions and switch to a different preset for casual ones; each one's history and chat are kept independently, so you can move between them freely.

On Free there is a real cost: each switch clears the data of the Domina you are leaving (see above), so frequent switching means repeatedly starting from scratch. If you switch often, that alone is a good reason to upgrade. See Tiers.
